Bhupender Yadav says India’s BRICS Presidency under PM Modi will remain people-centric and guided by ‘Humanity First’, focusing on Mission LiFE, afforestation, climate adaptation and resilience.
In a social media post, Yadav shared his article published in an English daily and outlined India’s focus during its BRICS chairship on sustainable and people-centred approaches to environmental and climate challenges.
He said India has focused on promoting sustainable lifestyles based on the principles of Mission LiFE, along with afforestation, forest fire management, disaster resilience and people-centric climate adaptation rooted in traditional knowledge.
Yadav said India’s BRICS chairship is working towards a future that places the planet at the centre of collective growth, resilient development, innovation and the sharing of knowledge.
India’s approach under its BRICS Presidency, he said, reflects a commitment to placing people and the planet at the centre of efforts towards sustainable and resilient development.
